One of our recent projects took us to a neighborhood in West Hartford, where we helped a customer restore privacy to their pool area. Our client had recently removed several trees from their backyard, which unfortunately also removed the natural privacy those trees provided around their pool. The existing chain link fence no longer offered the seclusion they needed, so they reached out to us for a better solution. The following is the fence we installed.

The Solution
To meet their needs, we replaced the old fence with a 6-foot tall white vinyl privacy fence with a lattice top, using high-quality materials from Interstate Visions. The new fence not only restored the privacy around the pool but also added a clean, modern look to the entire backyard.
Tackling the Grade Challenge
One of the unique challenges we faced on this project was the significant grade drop in the rear corner of the yard. The customer was concerned that following the slope too closely would cause the fence to dip down, sacrificing the privacy the fence was intended to provide.
To solve this, we came up with a custom installation approach. Using an auger to ensure secure and precise post placement, we maintained a consistent top line across the fence for visual appeal and privacy, while tapering the bottom of the panels to follow the natural grade. The result was a sleek, functional fence that blends seamlessly with the landscape while offering full coverage where it’s needed most.
